We are delighted to be hosting our next event of our exclusive property webinar series, this time focusing on commercial landlords and investors.

As a commercial landlord, staying up to date with the latest regulations is crucial for maximising your returns and minimising your risks. This webinar series aims to equip you with the knowledge and tools necessary to navigate the complex landscape of tax, legal and funding matters.

You can register for one or all of the webinar sessions which will each be structured as a 30-40 min presentation with time for Q&A and time to grab a coffee or answer the emails in between each.

Webinar 1: Tax Strategies            9.30am – 10.20am

BHP’s Zoe Roberts, Tax Partner and Simon Buchan, VAT Director will present an update of tax and VAT issues relevant to commercial property owner occupiers and landlords. Tune in to hear the latest on commercial property tax issues including Capital Allowances, VAT and tax planning opportunities.

Webinar 2: Legal update     10.30am – 11.20am

Claire Mayfield-Tulip, Commercial Property Partner at Lupton Fawcett, will look at managing your portfolio effectively and add value. Aimed at commercial investors, Claire will discuss topics including as guarantors vs rent deposits, problems with underlettings, managing LTV covenants as well as common mistakes to avoid.

Webinar 3: Funding         11.30am – 12.20pm

Mark Storey, Debt Advisory Partner at BHP will provide an overview of the commercial property funding market, giving you an idea of the current appetite of lenders and their requirements. He will highlight what can be done to help in obtain the most competitive terms.

Webinar 4: The MEES Regulations 12.30pm – 1.20pm

Martin Gibbons, Director at Vital Direct is a chartered surveyor and founded Vital in 2007 to provide energy efficiency services to investors and occupiers across the UK. In his presentation Martin will provide a briefing update with topics including how to boost the energy efficiency of a building without breaking the bank, update on the national rollout of Energy Performance Certificates and impact on marketing and valuation.

Each session will be followed by a Q&A section allowing you to directly interact with our experts and answer any questions you may have.
