After qualifying as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1992, as a prize winning candidate and Shafiq joined Clough and Company in 1995, achieved his Chartered Taxation Advisor Qualification in 1994 and was made Partner in 2005. With over 25 years' experience, he is also a member of the judging panel for the Telegraph & Argus, Bradford Means Business Awards Trustee and Governor of Batley Girls High School. Outside of work, Shafiq enjoys walking and watching the cricket.
