As a Payroll Team Leader, your primary focus will be supporting and providing guidance to your team of payroll specialists, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing and compliance with statutory regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of UK payroll legislation, attention to detail, and the ability to handle complex payroll scenarios. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the end-to-end payroll processes for your small portfolio of clients. You will play a key role in providing exceptional service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise, motivate and lead payroll team of 5-10.

Manage your own portfolio of clients and maintain your own payroll deadlines.

Up to date legislative payroll and AE knowledge.

Review the workloads of other members of the payroll team.

Act as the point of contact for any escalated payroll queries.

Ensuring service levels are met whilst maintaining strong team and client relationships.

Ensuring payroll compliance across the team.

Proactive, organised and sound analytical/problem-solving skills.

CIPP preferred but by no means essential.

Person Specification:

Experience working as an efficient and comprehensive Payroll Team Leader.

Ability to liaise with stakeholders and manage expectations.

Able to articulate complicated information to non-payroll experts.
