BHP transforms finance function for two expanding property companies

Case study: The Commercial Property Buying Company Limited and GT3 Properties Limited

Background

These two companies were set up in recent years due to the directors’ enthusiasm for property, with The Commercial Property Buying Company Limited specialising in commercial property and GT3 Properties Limited specialising in residential property.

Why BHP?

The directors have worked with BHP since 2014 following a recommendation. BHP was brought in to handle all of the company’s statutory and compliance work but, over the last eight years, they have expanded into a group of companies and therefore required a greater range of accounting services.

The challenge

Due to expansion, the directors made the decision to improve the quality of accounting information recorded. They also wanted to change their accounting software to improve efficiency within the business.

The solution

Having previously used Sage to process their accounts, BHP introduced the company to Xero and facilitated the transition seamlessly. BHP also assisted with training two members of staff on the new software. After losing most of their internal accounting staff, BHP were on hand to manage the business’s accounts remotely, alleviating any concerns they had over lost resource.
