Jane Marshall, who heads up the specialist Charities Team at Barber Harrison & Platt, recently attended the Sheffield Hallam graduation prize giving, where she presented Sean Kelly with the best Student Award on the MSc Charity Resource Management Course. Jane Commented, “we are very fortunate in Sheffield to have the only masters course offered by a university outside London with a specific focus on charity accounting and fundraising, and it is therefore a pleasure to provide support to the Business School for this prize.”

Professor Gareth Morgan, who leads the MSc in Charity Resource Management, said: “We were delighted when Barber Harrison & Platt agreed to sponsor a prize on this course, given their reputation as one of the leading firms of chartered accountants specialising in charities.  Sean delivered a wide range of excellent work on the course, gaining the MSc with distinction.”

Sean added, “I thoroughly enjoyed the Charity Resource Management course and was amazed to learn that I had gained a special award for achieving the highest overall mark on the course. I would have no hesitation in recommending the course to anyone looking to develop their third sector management skills in the future and am extremely grateful to the team at Sheffield Hallam and Barber Harrison & Platt for their help and support.”
