BHP welcomes new recruits

Barber Harrison & Platt (BHP), Yorkshire’s leading independent firm of chartered accountants has recently welcomed 14 new trainees and 3 placement students into the firm. This is part of the firm’s continuing investment in supporting client needs and the firm’s planned growth. The new recruits include university graduates and school leavers who will be working in the firm’s audit, accounts and taxation departments across various specialist sectors.

This year BHP has seen significant growth in its client base including several substantial new client gains. The firm has also recently appointed Hamish Morrison (Corporate Finance) and Amanda Waterhouse (Taxation) as partners. Staff numbers have grown to over 200 people across four offices.

Our recent successes include BHP Corporate Finance winning the Corporate Finance Firm of the Year award at the South Yorkshire Dealmakers for the fifth year running, whilst our tax team has been shortlisted for the British Accountancy 2012 Audit and Tax Excellence Awards for the second year running. In addition we are delighted that last month our sister company BHP Financial Planning Ltd was awarded the prestigious ‘Chartered Financial Planners’ title by The Chartered Insurance Institute.
