Increase in minimum redundancy pay

Employers are being reminded of increases to the amount of an employee’s weekly earnings that count towards statutory redundancy pay.

As from 1 February, the amount has risen from £330 to £350.

Also taking effect from 1 February are changes to the basic and compensatory awards for unfair dismissal.
