Paul Winwood

What is your role at BHP?
I am an audit partner and one of our joint Heads of Audit. I trained with BHP back in 2006 and have seen how the business has grown over these years to be the fantastic business it is today. My client base primarily consists of privately owned or private equity-backed businesses operating in the manufacturing, retail, construction, and technology industries. I am naturally curious about business so I am quick to learn and get underneath what drives a business and that helps build trust and strong relationships with clients.

What are you most passionate about?
I am passionate about making a difference to BHP, our staff and the clients we work with. There's nothing better than when a client values the work you have done, and the team has enjoyed working on that project and has learnt so much. I also love finding solutions for clients and colleagues when they encounter a problem and coaching them through this.

What keeps you motivated?
Every day is different, and every day, I learn something new about myself, a technical matter, or about the people I work with. This variety and growth are key to my motivation and drive.
