What is your role at BHP?

As an Audit Partner at BHP, I specialise in the audit of medium and large-sized groups, including international businesses reporting under both UK GAAP and IFRS. With extensive experience working with owner-managed and private equity-backed companies, I support clients across a range of sectors, including manufacturing, distribution, care homes, and the automotive industry.

What are you most passionate about?

What drives me is delivering excellent client service. I take pride in building long-term relationships and helping businesses achieve their goals, whether that’s through a smooth audit process, commercial insight, or simply being a trusted sounding board.

What keeps you motivated?

The variety and challenges that come with working in a thriving accountancy practice mean no two days are the same. Working with a talented team to solve problems and deliver meaningful results for clients is incredibly rewarding.

What advice would you give trainees starting out?

For those starting out, my advice is to stay curious, ask questions, and take every opportunity to learn. The more you understand the bigger picture, the more rewarding the work becomes.

What is your favourite thing to do at the weekend?

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me cycling in the Peak District and enjoying a well-earned cold beer afterwards.
