Kyle joined BHP as an employment Tax Partner following 17 years working for Big 4 and mid-tier firms.
Kyle supports employers across all sectors with managing the increasing cost and challenges with rewarding people via payroll, expenses or non-cash benefits etc. Kyle works in partnership with key business stakeholders to help ensure payroll tax compliance (including National Minimum Wage) and has extensive experience negotiating with HMRC in disputes, managing enquiry processes or seeking tax reclaims on behalf of clients. Kyle’s team also includes specialists who advise on the tax and social security impact of employees working or travelling overseas, including contract structuring and policy and control frameworks.
In addition to supporting compliance, Kyle’s focus is on identifying practical solutions to reduce cost and/or time. This includes aiding recruitment and retention via increasing benefit offerings or reshaping these to meet potential tax exemptions, designing and implementing policy and control frameworks, staff training and communications and process aids.
