What is your role at BHP/Translink?
I am a Partner in the M&A team at Translink Corporate Finance and have spent the last 10+ years primarily advising business owners on their exit options to trade buyers or private equity firms. It's a very varied role, which also includes helping companies raise debt or equity finance and making strategic acquisitions.

The ideal journey that we support the business owner on involves helping them grow and scale their business over several years, ultimately delivering an exit to a strategic buyer or investor.

What are you most passionate about?
Achieving exceptional results for our clients and continuing to establish the Translink M&A team as one of the leading mid-market advisors that specialises in cross-border M&A.

What keeps you motivated?
Continue to develop and progress from a personal perspective and also help my teammates achieve their own goals and development plans.

What advice would you give trainees starting out?
Don't stop being curious and asking questions. Approach someone you aspire to and ask them for help - most people enjoy helping other people on their journey and so are usually happy to help.
