The Government has announced that there will be new limits on the unfair dismissal and redundancy payments made to workers in certain employment rights cases.
The new limits will come into effect as from 1 February and they will rise under the annual indexation formula.
The changes cover statutory redundancy payments; basic and compensatory awards for unfair dismissal; the limit on guarantee payment made when employees are not provided with work; and the minimum basic award for unfair dismissal in health and safety and certain other cases.
