What is your role at BHP?
I am a Private Client Tax Partner and OMB tax advisor. I have been at BHP since January 2000, having worked in tax for 36 years, with a specialisation in PC tax for 27 years. The client base comprises business owners and former business owners, as well as numerous other clients whose wealth level or personal circumstances warrant my advice.

What are you most passionate about?
Helping clients develop a tax and financial plan that is aligned with their personal goals and objectives in the most tax-efficient way, and importantly, helping them make difficult decisions, such as how to leave their wealth to their family and how to articulate the reasons behind their choices.

What keeps you motivated?
The different types of clients I have and the challenges they face - me making a difference and seeing the benefits of my input.

What advice would you give trainees starting out?
Get involved with as many different clients and types of work as possible, as this will help build experience, which is crucial since there's nothing more important than having seen it before.

What is your favourite thing to do at the weekend?
Gardening! I love it.
