NHS 10-Year Plan – Future Proofing General Practice

Date: 30 September 2025

Time: 1pm-2pm

Location: Online, Zoom

BHP are delighted to invite you to this exclusive webinar where we will be looking at how you can future proof your practice ready for the NHS 10-year plan. The plan highlights that the government’s intended policy direction brings both opportunities and challenges for general practice. A key message is that the traditional partnership model is only sustainable in areas where it is functioning effectively; in places where it is not, “multi-neighbourhood providers” may step in to take over service delivery.

The plan also points to a continued shift towards more neighbourhood working, with services increasingly organised and delivered at this level. Neighbourhood services could be commissioned from a variety of providers under a “single-neighbourhood provider” contract, broadening the potential models of service delivery within primary care.

Join us on this webinar where we will cover:

  • Some of the key risks for general practice arising from the messages in the 10-year plan
  • How to make your own practice more resilient, for example, through succession planning or mergers
  • How general practice can organise at neighbourhood level and multi-neighbourhood level to be able to take advantage of the opportunities that may arise

Who should attend:

GP partners, practice managers, PCN leads, and others involved in strategic planning for general practice.

Speakers:

Jenny Hurst, Healthcare partner at BHP, will be joined by Alison Oliver, commercial healthcare partner at Sintons LLP. Alison has over 20 years of experience advising primary care providers on a range of legal issues, including partnership matters, PCN and federation governance, practice mergers, succession arrangements, and NHS contracting requirements.
