We’re recruiting now for a Manager to join our Healthcare Team in Chesterfield, providing a range of accounting services to our clients in the Healthcare sector.
The Healthcare Manager role is a wide-ranging and challenging position that requires an individual who is committed to and energised by delivering exceptional client service, team and personal development as well as being a specialist in the Healthcare sector. The role will involve leading a portfolio of Healthcare clients in accordance with the firm’s standards and procedures, providing support to the Healthcare Partners in business development activities and internal operations including planning, training and other strategic projects.
Being a main point of contact for a portfolio of healthcare clients, including medium and large GP practices, limited companies, PCN’s and individual tax returns;
You will be responsible for the review and finalisation of partnership, sole trader and limited company accounts for delivery to the engagement leader;
You will be responsible for the review and finalisation of tax computations (partnership and corporate), capital allowance claims, personal expenses claims and personal tax returns;
Ensuring advice is accurate, appropriate, clear, and communicated effectively, resolving technical issues with clients and colleagues.
Review of NHS pensions annual certificates of pensionable profits and related estimates
You will supervise staff at varying levels of qualification and experience to ensure jobs are completed to a high standard of accuracy and client care;
You will prepare detailed budgets for jobs, review against actuals and provide job specific feedback to the team, considering where improvements can be made;
Managing your own time and that of others to meet deadlines and deliver an effective service to clients;

Keep up to date on current business affairs and contribute to business development activities eg newsletter articles, blogs, webinars.

Solid leadership & people skills to help develop less experienced members of the team
Accurate, methodical and organised with strong project management skills

Ability to pro-actively research and improve technical knowledge
ACA/ACCA qualified with at least 3 years post qualification experience
Healthcare experience preferred but not essential (training can be provided)
Excellent IT skills, including experience of using Xero and Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
