The leading Yorkshire and Derbyshire accountancy firm, BHP, has bolstered its team with the largest annual intake of new starters in its history.

Boosting the regional economy, BHP has appointed 16 graduates, 12 trainees and three year-long placements across its offices in Sheffield, Cleckheaton, Leeds, Chesterfield, and York.

Commencing throughout September, the 31 new starters will be strengthening the teams across Audit, Tax, Corporate Finance, Prosper and Financial Planning departments.

Lisa Leighton, Joint Managing Partner at BHP, said: “For the first time ever, we have welcomed 31 new starters, making this the largest ever recruitment boost for BHP.

“The graduates, trainees and placements will help strengthen the incredible work that we produce here at BHP but most importantly we want our new team members to feel happy and settled so that they can grow and flourish in their roles – this really is an exciting new chapter at BHP.”

Louise Allen, Head of HR at BHP, commented: “At BHP we offer our new starters the opportunity to thrive as professionals, and by welcoming new faces we give every individual the chance to study, work, train and develop.

“These recent appointments showcase how we are growing as a business and making an impact on the Yorkshire economy.”
